If you have followed me on Instagram you would have noticed that my family and I started a tradition to cook ethnic food during weekends, like Lebanese cuisine, Mexican and more recently Indian
Since I have made quite a few dishes, i am going to share the recipes on different posts, and today I am starting with the basic of the Indian cuisine; Basmati rice
Before jumping to the recipe, I want to share with you the recipe of the ginger-garlic paste that I have used in all of my Indian dishes so you can refer to in the future.

Olive oil;• 1 tsp. Garlic-ginger paste;• 1 tsp. cumin;• A pinch of cardamom;• 3 cups water;” ]In a large pot heat the oil and add the garlic-ginger paste. Fry until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add the spices and stir to combine; Add the rice and water, cover the pot and cook on low heat 11 minutes; Turn off the heat and let it sit covered for an additional 10 minutes; Serve while still warm[/lt_recipe]

- 80gr fresh ginger
- 80gr garlic
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients in a mixer
- Blend until it resembles a paste like texture
