Chocolate tapioca pearls pudding

Jump to recipe

I have waited a long before posting this recipe because in Albania is very difficult to find tapioca pearls. Luckily I have found them at Baronesha, a new supermarket in Tirana and now I can share my recipe with you. I had planned to write it down last week but I got an allergy ( yeah, allergies happen also during fall season) so I had to postpone it.

This recipe does not require any thickening agent like starch, since they are literally starch balls made from cassava root.

So lets get to the recipe:

  1. This chocolate pudding recipe did not turn out as expected. Despite following the instructions carefully, it never solidified. The proportions also seem off, as the recipe calls for only three cups of liquid but claims to yield six cups of pudding. Unfortunately, the texture and taste were disappointing. I would not recommend this recipe.

    1. Hello Sarah, I am sorry that this recipe did not work out for you. I have mentioned that the pudding is divided in 6 small serving cups and not the regular measuring cup. My mistake on that (PS: there are not 3 cups of liquid but 400 ml- 200ml of milk and 200ml of heavy cream). Anyway, I am unable to explain why your pudding did not set, but maybe if you’d give it another chance, I would suggest to leave the pudding set in the fridge for a couple of hours maybe. Thank you for visiting my site, much love to you. Nevila
